The shade attaches with a modified spider assembly. Instead of a disc with a hole in it, as in a traditional shade, it is C shaped to go around a threaded post. It does not sound like it will work on your lamp asyour shade iis held in place by a socket ring that screws onto the socket. – I have an arch floor lamp and its original drum shade was 25cm (height) x 45cm (from side to side). I believe the shade was held in place once the bulb was put in… Does this shade need any special assembly or additional parts? My other question is, does this shade come with a screen on the bottom so the light from the bulb doesnt bother people sitting right under it? Thank you.
